PRODUCTION

Craftsmanship

Collectioproduced in small batches by real artisans using time-honored techniques and top-notch materials.

Quality

Argentinian leather: a blend of Italian craftsmanship, vast cattle ranches, and deep-rooted tradition, ensuring the highest quality

Sustainable and Ethical

Every aspect of our belt production is carefully planned. We avoid excessive production and large stockpiles, focusing instead on a specific, well-managed output.

Women Work-Life Balance

ADA is dedicated to empowering women to excel both professionally and personally. By fostering a supportive environment, we enable them to strike harmonious balance between work and personal life, ensuring their growth in all aspects of life.

Sustainable Fashion

If fashion was a country, it would pollute 3rd most after China & USA. Sustainability means fulfilling present needs without harming future generations' ability to meet their own needs. It entails balancing social, economic, and environmental aspects to use resources in a way that preserves and improves their availability in the long run.

Women Empowerment

Gender equality is a priority for us. We empower women, especially those from vulnerable backgrounds, by providing employment opportunities and support. We believe this leads to positive changes in their lives and a more equitable society

Leather Chain

We give leather to women for belt making, who return scraps we donate to artisans, reducing shipping emissions. Some go to Mar del Plata women who share with "NGO Palestra," supporting adults and kids. We also send remnants to General Rodriguez and San Martín de los Andes. Future plans include empowering artisans with leather training.

Since 2004

Since the first collection hit California boutiques in the fall of 2004, ADA belts are now found in over 2000 retail stores across the world, garnering attention from celebrities like Heidi Klum in her daily wardrobe, Giuliana Rancic and Halle Berry

Our Community

We take great care of our employees, especially those working in our tanneries. Many have been with us for many years on permanent contracts. We strive to create an inclusive and supportive work environment with no child labor. We also promote a positive work atmosphere and encourage local employment.

We plan to use carbon footprint calculators to measure emissions from our activities. These tools help us identify emission hotspots and develop mitigation strategies.

Our goal is carbon neutrality, achieved by reducing emissions through sustainable
practices. We've implemented efficient measures and explore offsetting emissions with reforestation projects. Our commitment is ongoing, aiming for a positive environmental impact and carbon neutrality in the future.

Frequently asked questions

Have questions? We’re here to help

01. How are crafted by hand the ADA leather belts?

Each piece, every belt is genuinely crafted by hand, taking the necessary time to ensure its quality and warmth. Our dedication to handmade craftsmanship guarantees the finest products for our customers. In addition, the belt holes are made using manual punch tools. We only use sewing machines to craft the belts, ensuring precise and uniform cuts.

02. What is the approach to waste and product production?

At Ada Collection, every aspect of our belt production is carefully planned. We avoid excessive production and large stockpiles, focusing instead on a specific, well-managed output. Mass production is not our approach; instead, we have various sales channels with predetermined production quantities. We follow a zero-waste philosophy, ensuring that nothing is produced unnecessarily and wasted. Every item we make serves a purpose.

03. What measures does ADA Collection take to ensure the sustainability of the leather?

The leather we use is vegetable-tanned and chrome-free. Chromium is typically used in the initial stage of leather production to remove hair from cowhide, but we ensure that the percentage of chromium used is within the legally permitted limits in Argentina and internationally, keeping it to a minimum. Chromium is a major water pollutant, and every six months, we test our leather suppliers to ensure they comply with these low chromium percentage standards.

04. In which way ADA Collection reduce waste and promote sustainability?

The leather we use comes from byproducts of the large meat industry in Argentina, specifically from frigoríficos (meatpacking plants). In Argentina, leather is a secondary product, with meat being the primary focus. (To obtain leather with fewer imperfections, we are now requesting hides from smaller animals that have had less exposure to outdoor elements, resulting in leather with fewer blemishes). Also, to promote leather recycling, we sometimes purchase leather remnants to make use of what is already available in the market.

05. Does ADA Collection's packaging has a second life?

Yes! Our DUST BAG not only does it protect the leather, but it also serves as a case for you to store the belt. Many people also use it as a mini travel bag for cosmetics or makeup.
